Like so many of our initiatives at LRO Staffing, our Social Responsibility Program is driven by our people. Our goal is to get involved actively to communities and causes that are important to us, our clients and our candidates. That is how we can truly make a difference in our community.

KIDS UP FRONT OTTAWA

FOUNDING PARTNER

Kids Up Front Foundation Ottawa is a registered charity, who’s program helps deserving children and families in the National Capital Region. Our program collects unused event tickets and redistributes those opportunities to children and youth who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to attend due to socioeconomic barriers.

CARLINGTON BOOCH

BRAND AMBASSADOR

Carlington Booch is a social enterprise that brews small-batch kombucha to help fight addiction in Ottawa. Their goal is to revitalize our community while fighting alongside the underdog. Carlington Booch provides employment and volunteer opportunities for people coming out of addiction treatment centers and help them “booch” the gap as they become contributing members of society.

TOY MOUNTAIN

2017 marks the 22nd anniversary of the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign benefiting The Salvation Army. And every year, we invite Ottawa-area businesses, schools, organizations, community groups and CTV Ottawa viewers to become partners – to collect toys – and to help build Toy Mountain. Join us and help bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas season!

Founded in 1889, the Ottawa Construction Association today is one of the largest regional construction associations in Canada and the voice of Ottawa’s non-residential construction industry. Combined, our membership of over 1,100 firms builds more than 90 per cent of the Ottawa region’s $3-billion commercial, industrial and institutional market.

WE DAY is an unparalleled event bringing together world-renowned speakers and performers, and tens of thousands of youth to celebrate a year of action that transformed communities and changed lives.

SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU RUN FOR WOMEN

The SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU Run for Women has raised over $3.4 million dollars for local mental health services. Every dollar raised supports mothers, daughters, and friends through the funding of programs that allow women to take that next step to recovery.

ROYAL OTTAWA FOUNDATION FOR MENTAL HEALTH

MENTAL HEALTH GALA

The Mental Health Gala in support of DIFD and The Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health.aims to spread awareness and end the stigma surrounding mental illness in Canada.

ÉCOLE DE DANSE LOUISE

École de Danse Louise aims to bring a positive and rewarding experience to all dancers who enter their studio. Their goal is that each and every dancer develops greater self-confidence and experiences a sense of accomplishment.

ALGONQUIN COLLEGE

CURRICULUM ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology is a publicly funded English-language college and member of Polytechnics Canada located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

24h TREMBLANT

Year after year 24h Tremblant raises significant amounts of money for sick or underprivileged children. Last year alone the event raised $3.25m, which was split between three foundations. One of which was the Ottawa Senators Foundation who distribute these funds to charitable organizations in our community, directly helping children and their families where we live. Since inception, the event has raised over $14m and continues to grow year on year.

GREAT CYCLE CHALLENGE CANADA

Great Cycle Challenge started in 2016, and after just 2 years, the event has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events across Canada. People of all ages, abilities and from every province across the country set themselves a personal riding goal and challenge themselves to pedal throughout June to fight kids’ cancer.

BRICE TIAMUH MEMORIAL CHARITY FOUNDATION

The Brice Tiamuh Memorial Charity Foundation (BTMCF) was founded in 2010 in memory of a brother and a friend to many, Brice Tiamuh. As a Canadian registered non-profit organization, BTMCF seeks to raise funds for the Brice Tiamuh Memorial Scholarship Award and to raise awareness of colorectal cancer.

THE SNOWSUIT FUND OF OTTAWA

The Snowsuit Fund is an Ottawa-based charity that raises funds for the purchase and distribution of snowsuits to needy children, 15 years and under, in our community.

OTTAWA REGIONAL CANCER FOUNDATION

The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation is dedicated to increasing cancer survivorship in Eastern Ontario.

THE CHILDREN’S AID SOCIETY OF OTTAWA

The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa (CASO) is non-profit community organization funded by the Government of Ontario, legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect. The CAS is one of over 46 agencies across the province regulated by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and governed by the Ontario Child and Family Services Act (CFSA).

OTTAWA GLOUCESTER SOCCER CLUB

The Ottawa Gloucester Hornets were formed in 1973 and provide soccer opportunities for competitive youth and adults in East Ottawa. The Hornets are a founding member of the Ottawa Gloucester Soccer Club.

CAN-AM FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT

The Canadian-American Friendship Tournament is a one of a kind soccer tournament that promotes new connections and friendships through the spirit of competition for the past 42 years.

WEST OTTAWA SOCCER CLUB

The West Ottawa Soccer Club grows, promotes and strengthens soccer in Ottawa by providing all participants with quality development, recreational, representative and elite programs for life.

CARLETON UNIVERSITY RAVENS

CARLETON RAVENS SOCCER GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Ravens Soccer Golf Tournament brings out soccer alumni, fans and supporters for an amazing day of reconnecting and fun in support of the Ravens soccer teams.

CUMBERLAND UNITED SOCCER CLUB

The Cumberland United Soccer Club aims to provide the most talented and committed players in Ottawa with the opportunity to fully develop their playing potential as people and players. We strive to develop future College, University, and professional level players with a humble, winning and growth mindset.

GLOUCESTER CELTIC MEN’S SOCCER

Ottawa Gloucester Celtic won the 2016 Ontario Cup men’s championship after a 1:0 victory over Caledon FC. It marked the second time in four years that the Ottawa-based club beat Caledon FC in the provincial final, with the 2013 national champions earning a spot at the 2016 Sport Chek National Championships Challenge Trophy finals in St. John’s, Newfoundland Labrador.
